Sorry for the delay...

I think one of, if not the saddest metal songs I've heard (sad in the good sense) is Pantera's "Floods" from their Great Southern Trendkill album. The background wind only adds to the depth of the song, and makes the tone even darker. With powerful lyrics, an equally powerful solo by the late, great Dimebag Darrell, and an outro that makes me want to cry every single time I hear it, I absolutely love this song. It is definitely one of my favourites by them.
